Cal. 44 Henry Rimfire. S# 6818. Bbl. 24 1/4" oct. replacement w/ altered serial number. Integral mag. tube & 5" shroud that turns to accommodate loading. German silver blade front sight w/ graduated leaf rear sight. Brass frame. Walnut stock w/ brass crescent trapdoor buttplate. Left side of stock has 2 screw inletted sling swivel over pronounced Henry bump. Mfg. in 1864. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brass tipped 4 piece cleaning rod held in trapdoor buttplate. CONDITION: rifle has old restoration. Receiver has artificially applied natural looking mellow patina. Bbl. has finely brown refinish and retains sound markings. Stock has carefully added finish over original scratches, handling marks & sm. dents. Bore is dark & pitted w/ worn rifling. (01-17167/DS). ANTIQUE. $5,000-10,000.
