CONVERSION TO 58 CALIBER WITH BAYONET. Cal. 58. NSN. Standard configuration. Bbl. 33" w/ saber bayonet lug. Front band has been arsenal trimmed. Bayonet marked "COLLINS & CO / HARTFORD / 1861". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: bayonet. CONDITION: good overall, appears complete & original, though lacking ramrod. Metal is cleaned, mixed gray patina, brass cleaned w/ medium mustard patina. Lock markings discerned. Bbl. proofs light & partially discernable. Stock refinished w/ approx. 7" crack repair on right side under forward portion of lock. Stock has several hairlines, chips & overall eroded surface. Worn dark lightly pitted bore. Bayonet numbered "91" & only fits part way, but does not lock. Mechanically fine & crisp rifled bore.
