DEMO LOT
Cal. 45 ACP. Bbl. 18.25". S# 1042. The Reising Model 60 is a semi-auto only version of the popular model 50 SMG. It went into production around the Summer of 1942 & it is thought to have been developed as a competitor to the Thompson Model 1927, which was a semi-auto only variant of the popular model 1921 SMG. Both were chambered in 45 ACP & saw significant use in the civilian sector for jobs such as prison, factory & railroad guards. Outwardly, the Model 60 shares many similarities w/ the Model 50 SMG, the only exception being the bbl., which is 18.25" in length w/ the semi auto variant. The front sight is drift adj. for windage & has no cooling fins, but a normal tapered profile. While this example is outfitted w/ a 12 rd. mag., it is important to know that it has the proper mag. well to utilize the standard 20 rd. mag. as well. Rear peep sight adj. for elevation. Safety selector on right side has only two positions; Safe & S.A. Hardwood stock, leather sling & takedown screw on the bottom, just behind the mag. well. MAGAZINE: 1 steel 12 rd. ribbed mag. CONDITION: wood has a nice dark stain finish that lightens out in the toe area of the stock; all exposed metal surfaces enjoy an even parkerized light grey finish w/ the absence of any major marring; shiny bore w/ very strong rifling; fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (20-894/JZ). MODERN. $2,500-3,500.
