Overall length: 38". Blade length: 31 1/2". Plain, single fullered blade w/ an ornate gilded brass hilt. Hilt has lg. spade languets w/ the front languet featuring a rayed 8 pointed star w/ a central disk showing a white enameled border that reads, “SUUM CUIQUE” & a central black Prussian eagle. The knuckle bow & ferrule are adorned w/ oak leaves. The attractively embellished back strap culminates in a lion head pommel featuring red eyes. Wire wrapped sharkskin grip. Black enameled steel scabbard w/ brass suspension loop & ring stamped “23” on the top of the loop. CONDITION: blade is a bit dirty & appears to have been sharpened at some point. White enamel is approx. 70% intact. Gilding on hilt is approx. 30% intact. Grip & wire wrap show light wear. Scabbard has minor loss of finish w/ 1 notable sm. shallow dent. (02-14999 /BF). $500-1,000.
