Overall length: 19 1/8". Blade length: 12 3/4". Blade has a bowie style clip point w/ 2 narrow fullers at the top edge. There is a partially legible mark near the ricasso that reads, "THEILL Y QUACK ELBERFELD" w/ eagle. There are more illegible markings. Stylized German silver S shaped crossguard. German silver Greek key ferrule w/ lion head pommel. Horn grip is inlaid w/ a silver hunting scene. German silver mounted, tooled leather scabbard w/ highly decorated frog stud. CONDITION: blade shows light wear w/ a bit of scattered staining. Hilt is undamaged & shows only slight wear. Scabbard remains strong but tooling is becoming a bit light. (02-13631/BF). $500-800.
