Overall length: 9 1/2". Blade length: 6". Dbl. edged blade w/ blue & gold decoration. Baluster turned ivory grip. Gilded ferrule & octagonal crossguard. Leather sheath w/ 3 gilded brass mounts w/ 2 carrying rings. Top mount on sheath has indiscernible scratched lettering. There is an early red cord & tassel attached. CONDITION: blade has a dark mottled patina w/ overall light pitting. Blue & gilt decoration is still discernible, particularly near the guard. "Certifiable antique ivory" grip has typical sm. age cracks w/ characteristic golden/tan patina. Sheath is broken 3" up from the tip. Sheath has shrunk & the blade will not fit fully into the scabbard. Gold plating on crossguard, ferrule & 3 sheath mounts have matching patina. (02-13338/BF). $400-700.
