BARREL 36". CALIBER 36. Gunsmiths of American lists a G. Walker from Philadelphia mid 1850's . Barrel is signed on top flat. Engraved percussion lock is stamped Whitmore Wolff Duff & Co. Pittsburgh (lock makers only 1837-1852) Features walnut half stock with pewter fore-end tip, plated furniture, double set triggers, full octagon barrel, single leaf rear sight, knife blade front, period wood rod. Barrel has false muzzle. Condition. Smooth patina on barrel and lock. Small crack on tip of ornate trigger guard. Set trigger works correctly. Excellent stock with just light impressions. Bore is strong and clean. Very sharp high condition mid 19th century gun. ANTIQUE
