It is believed Fast Bull carried this rifle as his name is found written on it along with his band's markings and buttons. He used this rifle until Chief Lone Horn gave him one of the new Winchester repeating rifles that the Government had given to the leader after signing the Treaty of 1868. Fast Bull fought at Rosebud and Little Bighorn.
