SERIAL NUMBER: 3655648. BARREL: 18". CALIBER: .30 CARBINE. MANUFACTURED: 1943. Made late 1943 in one of the first blocks assigned to IBM. Barrel is marked "8-43" and is IBM production. No import marks found. Bolt (flat type), slide (type 3), hammer and magazine release are all IBM production. Hand guard and stock are "JLB" marked, who was a contractor for IBM. Faint cartouches on the right side of the butt stock. Single band with no bayonet lug. Blade front sight and two position flip rear (looks to be Inland production). Original parkerized finish and oiled wood stock. Includes attached green canvas sling and metal oiler. No magazine. CONDITION: Metal is very good-excellent overall, with light wear. Wood has a few minor handling marks, scrapes, scratches and dents. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Fine mechanics. Sling has wear and discoloration. C&R
