1850. Cal. 54. NSN. 8 1/4" overall. 4" Striped oct. bbl. marked "W. PEACOCK DUKE STREET, LONDON". Silver pin front sight. Engraved breech, swivel ramrod, iron mounted. Lock marked "PEACOCK" forward of hammer. Scroll engraved, as is hammer, rear mounted safety. Stock is lightly grained walnut w/ wraparound checkered wrist w/ silver rectangular thumb plate & silver keyway escutcheons. CONDITION: very good-fine overall. Traces of finish, sharp edges & crisp engraving & markings. Stock is well fit retaining most of its original factory varnish. One hairline under front of lock. Mechanically fine w/ bright shiny smooth bore. (01-17250/JS). $800-1,200.
