F. A. MEANEA COLT SAA 7.5 HOLSTER AND BELT
One of most famous and revered holster makers of the 1880's was Meanea of Cheyenne Wyoming. Rarely do you find an example made for a 7.5" Colt SAA. This holster is double stamped on body & skirt F.A MEANEA CHEYENNE WYO. This holster is typical Wyoming style body with toe plug, double loop, border tooled and remains of lining. The belt is the popular Mills canvas model dated 1881 Texas star buckle. These military type web belts held ammo better and did not turn green and harden while stored. Meanea made top of the line cow punchers rigs beginning in 1881. The maker stamp on body is faint but strong outline and partially readable. Skirt stamp is strong. Belt is excellent. Liner is worn. Belt measures 35" from buckle post to middle hole in billet.
