Serial #12887, Caliber .41 Colt, Barrel 6” Manufactured 1878. A stunning example of the master craftsman’s trade. Elaborately and extensively engraved in the style of Cuno Helfricht with wide scrolls, dot punch background with small geometric designs and a tasteful chiseled rope border. Chambered for the powerful .41 Colt cartridge with nickel finish and elephant grips. Possibly a New York engraved gun done under contract by Helfricht himself. The revolver remains is superb condition with a wonderfully mellowed set on one piece period elephant grips. All factory markings are crisp and legible, and action remains in proper functioning order. ANTIQUE
