Overall length: 15 1/2". Blade length: 9 7/8". Blade has an intricate damascene pattern & appears to be early. The jade hilt appears to be of 20th century mfg. & features red & green cabochon stones w/ gilded wire. The classic form of horsehead pommel w/ bilobate guard is a familiar pattern on Mughal khanjars. A beautiful & visually impactful artistic hilt. Scabbard is a modern replacement. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray patina. Hilt shows very light wear & has 1 red flower petal cabuchon missing. Scabbard shows light wear. (02-13362/BF). $400-600.
