Cal. 31. S# 78930. This is a beautiful pocket w/ 4" bbl. in standard configuration of other 1853 mfg. examples. Oct. bbl. w/ 2 line New York address w/ brackets, 5 shot smooth cyl. w/ rolled stagecoach holdup scene, sm. "COLTS / PATENT" on left side of frame, silver plated backstrap & trigger guard, varnished 1 piece stocks. CONDITION: near excellent overall. All matching. Bbl. retains over 90% original blue. Cyl. retains approx. 40% bright blue w/ balance plum/blue w/ well defined cyl. scene & all 5 crisp safety pins. Frame & hammer retain virtually all their bright & muted case colors, though some muted. Backstrap & trigger guard retain approx. 80% silver plate, though mostly oxidized black. Grips are excellent retaining nearly all their original factory varnish w/ light edge wear & scattered minor cosmetic blemishes. Mechanically crisp w/ bright shiny bore.
