Cal. approx. 60. NSN. Bbl. 19 1/2". This pistol is an exceptionally long example & could have originated in most any European country. The details & workmanship appear to be Eastern European, possibly w/ an Ottoman influence. Bbl. has 2 forged lines that extend 6" from the breech & 2 that extend to the muzzle. Decorated lock & hammer have inlaid brass w/ foliate designs. Brass trigger guard, buttcap, sideplate, bbl. thimble & entry thimble. Bbl. bands may be period replacements. Brass tipped ramrod. Full length stock. CONDITION: bbl. & lock have a medium dark, mottled patina. Brass has a deep, rich, nearly brown patina. Lock holds both full & half cock. Stock has minor losses at the bbl. channel, a crack from the sideplate to the bbl. channel, a crack under the front of the lock & a spliced in repair at the inside of the wrist near the butt cap. Bore is fair. (01-17189/BF). ANTIQUE. $600-900.
