SERIAL NUMBER 5837 BARREL 25" CALIBER 9.3X74 /9.3X74 OVER 16GA. MANUFACTURED PRE-WW2. Produced in Bonn Germany by Emil Martin. Double 9.3 rifle with 16ga shotgun underneath. Ramped blade front sight with 2 leaf express rear sight. Rib has bases for scope claw mounts. Profusely game scene engraved box lock with side clips. Set rifle triggers with 3rd trigger. Elaborate horn trigger guard. Game scenes include running stag on left side with wild boar on right side and small Roebuck on underside. U crown proofed receiver with Nitro proofs. Cocking indicators . Stocked with highly figured walnut w/ pistol grip and period rubber recoil pad. Bullet trap at toe for 2 rifle cartridges and 1 shot shell. Checkered at wrist with Germanic oak leaf & Acorns relief carved top and bottom. 14" LOP 25" Barrel length. 16 Ga, Modified choke with 2-5/8" chamber. CONDITION. Very good with 95% blue finish remaining on barrels. Stocks are very good with slight wear and period of use impressions. But pad is aged and cracked. Action operates properly. Bores are very good with crisp sharp rifling. Barrel have swivels studs but swivels are not present. C&R
