DEMO LOT
SN: 188, HOLSTER & STRAP. Cal. 7.65mm Luger. S# 188. This is a very fine example of an early three digit Swiss Army Model 1900 Luger pistol with the updated relieved frame, an improved extractor, and correct holster. This example, rust blued with strawed small parts, has all the early features, such as the dished toggles with toggle lock, flat breech bolt having the improved (replacement) extractor with the heavier tip, fast taper 4.75" barrel, narrow trigger and first variation thumb safety with the large checkered head. It has the early style frame with the flat recoil springs and the narrow grip safety. DWM monogram marked on the front toggle link with standard small Swiss Army Cross inspector proofs on the barrel, barrel extension, rear of the frame and toggle assembly. It is fitted with checkered walnut grips. Disassembly shows matching numbers except the left grip that is numbered 459. MAGS: one original Swiss unnumbered wood base with the metallic discs on each side of the base. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original leather holster that is stamped on the back, "LEO JAKOB/BERN/06". Holster with very fine color is near excellent, only light wear on top of the flap, with clear, distinct markings on the back and intact stitching. CONDITION: excellent with 95% original blue finish with edge and high spot wear with blue loss on the muzzle, front edges of the frame rails, sideplate hump and lower front grip strap. Smaller parts retain 65% straw colors with fading on the face of the trigger. Discreetly import marked using a fine laser etching method in an unobtrusive area. The grips are in very fine condition with nice distinct checkering mixed with some minor handling marks. Hand cycles and dry fires correctly, very fine bore, bright shiny, with excellent rifling. PROVENANCE: From the esteemed collection of Paul Regnier, Switzerland. (20-1411/LA). CURIO. $6,500-7,500.
