Cal. 7.62x39. S# 9321053. Bbl. 16". A classic MAK-90 thumbhole AK47 variant, imported through KSI Pomona, CA. This was one of the earliest examples of a new restriction on the importation of firearms that were incorrectly categorized as “assault weapons”. While the original configuration was no longer importable, w/ the subtle changes necessary as included on this firearm such as the elimination of a threaded muzzle & a bayonet lug along w/ the thumbhole stock replacing the traditional separate stock & pistol grip, an entirely new market was born. This particular example proudly sports the Norinco logo forward of the mag. well. An aftermarket muzzle brake was added over the unthreaded muzzle & pinned through the front sight. Hooded post front sight & traditional rear sight elevation adj. from 100-800m. Blued finish on all exposed metal surfaces. The Norinco orange-ish wood characteristic of that point of assembly. Heavy rubber recoil pad rear of stock. CONDITION: bluing remains strong on all exposed metal surfaces w/ only blemishing that which is typical of point of mechanical intervention. Right bore w/ well defined rifling & fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (21-705/JZ). MODERN. $500-800.
