DEMO LOT
(Disney, c. 1934). A very rare, vintage original Walt Disney Studios production drawing of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck in their first cartoon appearance together, the animated short film "Dognapper." The story follows the dognapping of Minnie Mouse's dog Fifi, who has been taken by Peg-Leg Pete. This was the 70th Mickey Mouse short but only the 3rd for Donald Duck and the first to feature both Mickey and Donald. It was also the second of only three black & white cartoons to feature Donald Duck. As such, his feet were drawn black in this cartoon, since they could not be colored in. The animated short was released in 2002 as part of the "Walt Disney Treasures: Mickey Mouse in Black and White" The drawing is in good condition with normal wear from age. The drawing is expertly displayed in an acid-free archive frame. The drawing can be removed from the frame.
