Serial #17511 Caliber 30-40 US Krag Manufactured 1898. Procured from Winchester for the State of Colorado during the period of Union unrest amongst Gold and Silver miners and mine operators. The scarce Winchester 1895 Musket with full length finger groove walnut stock with trap in but for cleaning tools and ladder adjustable Military pattern rear sight. Marked on right side of receiver “NATIONAL GUARD OF COLORADO” Chambered for the 30-40 US Krag cartridge and factory fitted with detachable sling swivels and sling. CONDITION, Very good with over 70% blue finish remaining. Stocks are very good and full sized. Action operates properly. ANTIQUE
