Cal. 11.3 x 51R. S# P517. Bbl. 32 3/4". All visible numbers match. Open rear sight graduated to 1800m. Inverted "V" front sight. Rifle was mfg. as Model 1871 single shot & was converted in 1888 w/ the Vitali mag. holding 4 rds. & has added cutoff lever on the left side of receiver. Cleaning rod is present. Two band design. Walnut stock. Stock has circular marking on right side. Markings slightly obscure but include "MAASTRICHT" "(crown)" "W" "1878." Metal is finished bright except for mag. which is blue. CONDITION: stock has been professionally cleaned & given restorative finish. Metal has been cleaned & maker's name on top left side of receiver has been rendered obscure. Metal has light wear & scattered spots of staining. Very good, shiny bore. (01-19351/RW). ANTIQUE. $700-1,000.
