Patented by GL Kufahl of United Kingdom in 1852. Total production of approx. 11,000 guns. Top strap has "V. DREYSE SOMMARDA" markings confirming mfg. before 1864. 6 Shot cyl. Double Action only. Added full nickel finish w/ engraved scroll highlights on frame & trigger guard. 1 Piece checkered walnut grip w/ lanyard ring at butt. CONDITION: retains over 90% nickel finish showing scratches, cyl. drag line & sm. areas of flaking. Original grip finish shows wear spots & handling marks. Needle is intact. Bore retains strong rifling showing spots of scattered pitting. (01-17071/DS). ANTIQUE. $5,000-7,500.
