Cal. 1.25". NSN. 42" Overall w/ approx. 28" massive bbl. having lg. cast & filed grotesque face or mask on top of muzzle & weighs a whopping 10.8 lbs. Lock is in the style & markings of Dutch East India Company dated "1815" on tail. Stock is profusely inlaid w/ numerous pieces of mother of pearl in difficult carved shapes as seen in photos. Bbl. is attached to stock w/ 3 sheet brass & 1 flat iron band. Other than the lockplate & bbl. tang screws, all other components of this gun are nailed. CONDITION: very good overall. Virtually every mother of pearl & brass wire inlay is intact. There is about a 1/2" chip on toe of buttstock where it attaches to wooden buttplate. Appears complete w/ possibly new brass pins attaching front sling swivel. Mechanics need attention & not functional. Bore is smooth & clear. (01-17282/JS). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
