Post Mauryan, Tribal, Yaudheyas (150-100 BC), Copper Unit, “Chitreshwara” type, Obv: three-headed Shiva seated facing forward on a kneeling figure ‘Apasmara-purusha’, holding a trident in his right hand and left-hand places on the respective knee, a female figure standing at the right field with holding a flower in right hand and left hand resting on the hip, Brahmi legend “(Bhagavatah Chitresvara-Mahatmanah)” around the field, Rev: a deer standing facing right, a damru below the deer, a female figure stands on the right field in front of the deer, traces of other symbols, 8.37g, 21.78mm, (PAIC # 1643/Handa # Pl. LXXXIII-Type 2), choice very fine, Rare.

Note: This type was attributed to Kuninda by A M Shastri; however, Devendra Handa suggests that it was derived from the Yaudheyas, and Pieper attributes them to the Yaudheyas as well. This type of coin is extremely rare and only known from a single hoard found in the early 1980s. As per Shastri, the Apasmara-purusha motif is associated with Shiva's iconography. The Yaudheyas copper coins are inscribed with the name 'Chitreshwara,' which is the name of the clan's tutelary deity.
