This donation can be used for any available archery hunt in 2021, 2022 or 2023, for a set seven day archery hunt. You would be staying in an upscale, 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 3500 SF mountain home with radiant in floor heat and can sleep up to 15 people. Our fee includes the stay at our cabin (at 8400ft elevation), access to hunt about 100 acres of private land and access through our property to limited access federal land that surrounds us. Additional adult hunters are $2400 each and youth hunters are $1200 each. There is no meal service or pack-out included. You could pay a local outfitter to pack-out an animal and you could rent horses or pay an outfitter down the road to do some day guiding it you wanted (cost is between $250-350 for pack-out). None of those services are included in your fee as detailed below. We do have a landline for telephone service and satellite Internet. We are about 1.5 hours NE of Meeker and 1 hour SE of Craig, CO on the northern end of the Flat Tops. The 7 day stay/6 day archery hunts and 4-5 day rifle elk hunts go for $2400 per hunter. We do require a 50% deposit to reserve the dates for 2021. Also not included is horse rental, taxidermy, or travel. The rifle 3 hunt goes for $3,000 per hunter and we require a minimum of 8 hunters to reserve the cabin exclusively. If you do not have 8, that is ok, just be aware we will mix in other hunters to your group. So if it is just the two of you, you will share a room and I will find other hunters to try and get to at least 8 hunters. Because we have the largest elk herd in the world, the opportunity to harvest is greater than anywhere else you could hunt (high fence excluded as we are 100% fair chase and we cannot compete with high fence on stats). For GMU 12 draw archery, game trails can be found on our property which is located in the heart of that E6/White River Elk herd. OTC archery licenses are also available but require either a few mile drive to a trailhead to hunt or a 5 mile horse or hike to a secluded area of the OTC unit that is easy to access from our cabin. You can fly directly into the Steamboat Springs, CO airport (Yampa Regional Airport) and there is a local outfitter that provides horse rental and a local snowmobile rental company or you can drive out with your horse trailer or trailer and sleds. Vacationer is responsible for paying for all applicable permits/licenses, fuel, travel, meals, equipment rental, taxes, horse rental, field prep/pack-out etc.
