(Walt Disney World, 1970) An extremely rare WED Imagineering blueprint depicting an architectural schematic of Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World. Designed by WED Imagineering, the pre-opening blueprint is dated "2-4-70," over a year before the Magic Kingdom's opening day. Titled "East Elevation," it depicts an incredibly large full-view of the Magic Kingdom's landmark, Cinderella Castle. Fascinating architectural details of the Castle can be seen throughout, and various sections of the Castle are labeled including the Observation Terrace, Penthouse, Towers, and even the Basement. Disney Legend Bill Martin is credited as the Project Designer, and Imagineer John Zovich as the Project Engineer. This blueprint belonged to an opening year Park employee, who kept it in their personal collection until now. It measures an impressive 48"x36" and is in very good Park-used condition. There is some handling wear including small edge tears and faint creases throughout, as well as some expected natural toning to the paper from age.
