Chalukyas of Kalyani or feudatories, gold punch marked gadyana in the name of Ayyana Singa (1000-1100 AD), unpublished in major sources, 3.50g. Obv: Nine punches: 5x stylized lion facing left, 2x Kannada letter 'Shri', 1x Kannada legend …ya… and 1x Kannada legend Singa.

Extremely fine, Very scarce.

The title 'Ayyana Singa', literally meaning '(like a) lion to the grandfather' was held by several feudatory rulers during the Chalukya period. It is not possible to identify precisely who was the title holder that struck these coins.
