A wonderful piece of curiosa, the six shot single action designed ring pistols are of Victorian Period and are featured in a number of books about curiosa and unique firearms. This example is unmarked and has a brass/ bronze ring with and internal size of .945, a Nitre blue finished six shot cylinder with embossed knurled rib at front. The chambers are 4mm pin fire and the contemporary case comes with six chamber inserts as well as a turnscrew for disassembly. Most ring pistols are found marketed by jewelers in Paris and London but are produced in the cottage industry and embellished and retailers marked in these shops. This example has not been further embellished and remains in as new condition. Truly unique and is a piece of mechanical art. ANTIQUE
