Most correct transitional features including: trigger relief cuts, short trigger, long tang safety & coarse checkered Type 3 mainspring housing w/ 27 diamonds (not 32). Checkered thumb safety & slide stop w/out milled undercuts. Properly marked slide w/ 1911; has “D84” forward of cocking grooves on right. Frame w/ “WTG” inspection mark. Full checkered walnut grips. Slide not numbered under firing pin stop. “H” acceptance mark on rear of slide & by disconnector also having “G”; Type 5 bbl. w/ no markings in front of legs. Correct front sight & U-notch rear. MAGS: 1 good unmarked 2 tone 7 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2018 dated factory letter. CONDITION: good appearance w/ Colt Brushed Blue. Very clear markings throughout. Noticeable thinning on front strap & slight holster like high point wear on slide & dust cover. Thinning finish throughout mixed w/ patina on front strap, pitting on left front edge of trigger guard & areas of cleaned light to peppery oxidation. Light scratch from improper slide stop installation. Good grips w/ diamond top wear; sm. depression on left grip, extra wear at bottom of right & bright worn screws. Worn bbl. finish w/ fair bore having noticeable wear, dark appearance & even pitting throughout. (21-24/NW). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
