Cal. 45 ACP. S# C75400. Bbl. 5". Mfg. 1917 as part of Russian contract. Largest purchaser outside of US; 51,000 units from Feb. 1916 to Jan. 1917. All aspects same as Government Model Commercial except for "English Order" (in Russian) marked on left side of frame just forward of trigger guard (no import marks). A seldom encountered model in any condition. Bbl. features listed in condition; all other features are correct for model. Left front of trigger guard w/ VP proof. Left rear of trigger guard stamped "U"; also on frame by disconnector along w/ "S". "6" on frame in front of feed ramp. MAGS: 1 fair 7 rd. w/ lanyard loop. Cleaned pitting & oxidation w/ staining; no visible temper line. CONDITION: fair overall appearance w/ minimal traces of original finish due to long use by Russian military. Appears gray w/ some brown tones. Cleaned w/ light pitting remaining. Good blue on mag. release. Light screw slot damage throughout. Grips fair to good w/ hand wear. Bbl. should be Colt Type 3 or 4 having "H" & "P" proofs over chamber. Proofs not visible as area has draw filing marks; condition & overall appearance seems likely to be correct. Bore is fair w/ light even pitting & wear. Link pin w/ 2 punch marks on each side to prevent movement. (20-933/NW). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
