Cal. 45 ACP. S# 492835. Bbl. 5". Mfg. 1918 as part of Army contract. Most correct features w/ variations to include: later Colt type 6 bbl., safety tab checkered w/ undercut, 1911A1 grip safety & type E hammer. S17 proof plus 31 assembly # on trigger guard. Dbl. diamond wood grips w/ kill notches on dbl. diamonds; 3 each on top, 1 each on bottom. MAGS: 1 fair 2 tone early Remington-UMC w/ short lip & scattered cleaned oxidation. CONDITION: fair to good overall appearance w/ noticeable wear & handling marks throughout. Refinished slide w/ noticeable polishing around markings. Frame appears original, worn finish; especially in grip area. Replacement grip safety & hammer are very good. Good to very good bore w/ traces of faint frosting. Grips w/ hand wear matching frame having most wear near butt. (19-5984/NW). CURIO. $900-1,400.
