Cal. 45 ACP. S# 267778. Bbl. 5 1/2" w/ blade front sight & "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on bottom along w/ "H" provisional acceptance mark next to frame. Mfg. 1920 (1918-1920) as army version of New Service w/ military markings on butt including army S# of "115232". Brushed military finish w/ smooth walnut grips & lanyard loop in butt. Eagle S20 proofed at top left rear of frame plus 3 by left rear of trigger guard. Checkered square cyl. latch, smooth faced trigger & checkered hammer. CONDITION: very good plus overall w/ slight high point thinning around trigger guard & lower front of frame by yoke pivot. Light wear on frame & side plate from cyl. latch use; staining on sides of hammer; thinning on grip straps yielding gray appearance & very faint marks throughout grips. Light circular mark around front side plate screw from improper screwdriver use. Near excellent bore & chambers. (20-555/NW). CURIO. $900-1,400.
