Cal. 45 ACP. S# 326065. Bbl. 5" Type 5 w/ joined "HP" proof. Mfg. 1918 w/in 347,000 unit Army contract. Most correct features & markings including Eagle "S14" proof plus "H" provisional acceptance mark on slide & top of frame. Thumb safety has correct thick tab but w/out milling undercut as used after S# 425000. Type 5 bbl. & some type 4's used after S# 425000. Correct Type C border checkered hammer created from modified Type B w/ shorter spur. MAGS: fair Springfield Armory 7 rd. w/ lanyard loop mfg. 1914 - March 1916. Noticeably cleaned pitting & no finish. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: generic storage box. CONDITION: very good general appearance as refinished over some areas of prior pitting mostly at front of slide. Clear markings w/ slight thinning near front left side of slide. Finish has somewhat dull tone, especially on frame. Good grips w/ noticeable wear at bottom of each. All of bbl. exterior polished bright having plated appearance; normal appearing port section. Good plus bore w/ light wear & hint of frosting. (21-963/NW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
