Cal. 45 ACP. S# 3737. Bbl. 5". Mfg. 1909 (1905-1911) w/ blued finish, spur hammer & dbl. diamond checkered walnut grips. Nitre blue on extractor, slide lock, pins & screws. Left side of trigger guard has Colt VP proof at top front & 6 at bottom rear. MAGS: 1 good 7 rd. w/ occasional spotty pitting on sides of body. CONDITION: very good overall appearance w/ minimal loss of original finish. Slight high point wear near muzzle plus horizontal streak of thinning loss on left side of slide at midpoint plus faint thinning on right side of slide high points. Occasional sm. spot of pinprick oxidation & faint scratches. Exceptional finish on extractor & very good on other Nitre parts. Faded case colors on hammer. Very faint areas of thinning on grip straps. Light diamond top hand wear on grips. Very good to excellent bore. Very good original example of 1905. (20-489/NW). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
