Cal. 38 ACP. S# 14371. Bbl. 6". Mfg. 1903 (1902-1929) w/ blued finish. Colt checkered hard rubber grips, lanyard loop at bottom left rear of grip, early rounded hammer & early production cross hatched cocking pattern at front of slide; standard grooves at rear of slide after 1906. Nitre blued trigger, pins & screws; case colored hammer. MAGS: 1 very good original 8 rd. w/ base marked "MIL. / COLT / 38 CAL.". CONDITION: good to very good original appearing finish w/ slight high point wear throughout. Numerous sm. spots of pinprick to fine peppery oxidation. Backstrap has mottled appearance of finish loss; front strap noticeably better. Very good Nitre blue on trigger w/ functioning rub wear. Some screws & pins have finish loss. Very good case colors on hammer. Very good grips w/ very faint hand wear. Very good to excellent bore. (20-487/NW). MODERN. CURIO. $3,000-4,500.
