Main Description: Functions mechanically as designed. This revolver 1 of 900 purchased by Upper Canada with matching serial numbers issued to Essex Cavalry Troop January 7 1857. 1 of 50 acquired, Reference Canadian Military Handguns Book by Clive Law Page 110. Manufactured 1854. Brass bead front sight, octagon barrel, partial Naval scene on cylinder which has some damaged spots, checkered spur hammer and smooth trigger, steel frame, trigger guard and back strap. Two piece smooth wood grips, left side marked U.C I 26, right side is cracked, loading lever under barrel.
Wear: Metal finish turning silver grey with pitted spots, scratches, handling marks and wear. Grips show some marks, scratches and wear.
