Left side of slide has gold finished medallions representing the 4 military services; Army, Air Force, Marine Corp. & Navy. Slide top has gold inlaid marking "Freedom Special" forward of ejection port w/ silver & gold Torch of Liberty behind ejection port. Right side of slide has US shield & banner outlined in gold. Front & rear of slide & sides of frame have foliate scroll engraving. Front grip strap has foliate scroll engraving w/ gold highlights. 2 Piece hand checkered ivory grips. Mfg. 1977. MAGS: 1 detachable 8 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: copy of April 1986 Guns Magazine w/ an article by Robert H O'Meara about the Colt Custom shop featuring the Freedom Special.
