Cal. 30 RF. S# 7002. Bbl. 2 1/4" rnd. w/ half moon blade sight. Scarce Standard 30 cal. model; only firearm Colt ever made in 30 RF. Mfg. 1875 (1874-1876 approx. 10,946 units). Correct features of long flutes, rear cyl. notches & birdshead varnished rosewood grips. Matching numbers on cyl. & bbl.; grips pencil numbered 3036. Left side of bbl. etched "COLT NEW 30" plus "30 CAL" above loading groove. CONDITION: very good original nickel finish along w/ niter blue on hammer, trigger, pins, screws & cyl. pin. Occasional sm. spots of flaking nickel & very light pinprick oxidation. Very good grips. Bore generally good, bright, sharp rifling & some isolated spots of light to moderate pitting. Overall, fine looking example of scarce cal. Colt. (01-17084/NW). ANTIQUE. $700-1,000.
