Cal. 45 Colt. S# 343120. Bbl. 5 1/2" w/ left side marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY 45" plus standard Colt markings on right; mfg. 1922. Beautiful scroll engraving w/ shaded backgrounds; signed by White on left midpoint of frontstrap under grip area. Wonderfully restored having post black powder case colored frame & hammer; balance w/ fine blued finish. Lower right rear of cyl. frame & loading gate w/ assembly number 177. Backstrap & trigger guard matching numbered to frame on right sides under grip area. Unmarked cyl. Late production faux ivory grips w/ gold Colt medallions, grips slightly proud of grip frame. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: near excellent cherry presentation case w/ velvet lined dark red interior; bottom shadow outlined for revolver. Top of case laser engraved w/ "Colt"; no key. Colt factory letter of July 1968 stating single firearm shipment on June 6, 1922 to T. B. Davis Arms Co. c/o Ralph Knight in Portland, Maine. Listed as blued in 45 caliber having 5 1/2" bbl. plus further stating it was not engraved & type of stocks not listed. Letter also explains 177 factory work number. CONDITION: near excellent restored appearance. Bore is very good to excellent. Timing is near excellent but full cock yields 'hair trigger'; other hammer notches are fine.
