Cal. 44-40. S# 142800. Bbl. 4 3/4". Standard matching configuration as noted on factory letter, w/ 4 3/4" bbl., blued & case colored, 2 piece Colt hard rubber medallion grips. Bbl. has 2 line address & “COLT FRONTIER 6 SHOOTER” stamped on left, frame has standard two line three patent date on left side of frame w/ Rampant Colt in circle. This gun was made in 1891 & shipped to hardware store in Chicago. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Colt factory letter. CONDITION: very good overall, retains strong traces of original factory blue finish in protected areas, especially in cyl. flutes & loading assembly, metal overall is a dark silver/gray, mechanics are crisp w/ crisp, frosted bore. (01-17402/JS). ANTIQUE. $3,000-4,000.
