Cal. 45 Colt. S# 48262. Bbl. 5 1/2" w/ blade front sight. 6 Shot fluted cyl. Blue finish w/ fire blued trigger & fire blue hammer having polished sides. Right side of frame has "R.A.C." inspectors mark. Butt of gun is marked "U.S. / ARMY / MODEL / 1909" above lanyard ring, followed by "No / 48 / 262". 2 Piece walnut grips. S# indicates 1911 mfg. CONDITION: 70% dull fading blue w/ lightly frosted appearance on frame w/ spots of pitting. Grips have dark worn appearance w/ numerous scratches w/ dents at butt. Bore is bright w/ sound rifling. (20-1288/DS). CURIO. $1,500-2,200.
