Cal. 45 Colt. S# 44748. Bbl. 6" w/ blade sight. 6 Shot long flute cyl. Blue finish. 2 Piece checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt grips w/ lanyard ring at butt. Unique features are the extra lg. trigger & trigger guard. Right side of frame marked "U.S." w/ "JTT" inspectors mark. Frame & trigger guard have "RAC" inspectors marks on left side. Bbl. has inspectors mark "K" & "P". These revolvers are known by collectors as Alaskan or Phillipine Constabulary models. CONDITION: retains 25% dull fading blue in protected areas w/ balance fading to gray showing handling marks & spots of light pitting. Grips show moderate wear w/ areas of checkering loss. Functioning mechanics. Bore retains lightly worn rifling. (21-43/DS). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
