Cal. 44. S# 63883. Bbl. 8" rnd. w/ German silver blade front sight. 6 Shot roll engraved rebated cyl. Brass trigger guard. Front grip strap has "H" US inspection mark. Bbl., frame, trigger guard & cyl. have matching numbers. Wedge has mismatched number "9796". 1 Piece walnut grip w/ partially legible cartouche on right panel & remnants of cartouche on left panel. CONDITION: metal has faded to a mottled gray showing areas of pitting & corrosion. Grips show heavy wear & handling marks w/ chips at toe. Grips at butt have series of notches that appear to be intentionally hand cut. Dark lightly pitted bore retaining intact rifling. (01-17120/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
