Cal. 36. S# 11523. Standard configuration of the popular Savage "Figure 8" revolver, 14 3/4" overall, 7 1/8" oct. bbl., unique dbl. action mechanism w/ 3-line address on top frame strap. This example has unusual cyl. extensions to each chamber, but still measures properly & not noticed by this cataloger before on another gun. Civilian model w/ no inspection & varnished grips. CONDITION: very good overall. Retains no finish other than cyl. which has over 50% bright blue over surface. Grips retain much original varnish w/ moderate edge wear. Pistol cocked fine but cyl. has a 1/4" break in ratchet ring causing cyl. to not properly line up when on that chamber w/ broken ratchet, otherwise it functions. Good rifled bore. (01-17241/JS). ANTIQUE. $2,000-3,000.
