Cal. 36. S# 114011. Standard configuration of popular Civil War sidearm. Most guns in this S# range made in 1861 saw action. Bbl. 7 1/2" w/ 1 line New York address. CONDITION: good overall, all matching. Metal is mostly brown/gray patina w/ strong traces of finish in protected areas. Cyl. shows old tool marks & naval battle rolled scene is partially visible. 1 Piece walnut grips are well fit w/ heavy edge wear & hand worn patina. All in all this is a good representative Civil War Colt Navy that is 100% original & matching. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Dan Poppen. (01-17329/JS). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
