Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 5A1368. Receiver marked on top w/ unknown Chinese crest. Markings enhanced in white. Chinese version of Model 88 Commission rifle made w/out bbl. jacket. Straight bolt handle. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000m. Inverted V front sight. Cleaning rod is present. Bottom swivels. Has vintage military sling. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework type finish w/ staining, wear, dents & scratches. Lg. oval marking on right of butt has been removed, 8 digit number is remaining. Stock has lg. crack behind receiver tang. Has cracks around recoil bolt, underneath forend. Handguard has several cracks ahead of rear sight. Heavily worn metal has been cleaned leaving fine pitting & overall gray finish. Poor worn oxidized bore. (20-788/RW). CURIO. $400-600.
