Medal, Tamgah-i-Azadi Medal, Azad Hind Fauj, Bronze, Obv: Lion's head seen to the left above the legend "AZAD HIND" with a 3-petalled lily underneath, Rev: legend "INDIENS FREIHEITS KAMPF (India's War for Freedom)", superimposed over crossed bars and rays, along with suspension ring, 23.11g, 36.16mm, about very fine, Very Rare.

Note: The Order Azad Hind is one of the most distinguished awards of the Wehrmacht. In 1942, Subhas Chandra Bose, the leader of the Indian War of Independence, founded it for the soldiers of the Infantry Regiment 950 (the Indian Legion) of the German Wehrmacht. Tamgah-i-Azadi medal was awarded in 1943-45 to members of Azad Hind Fauj, founded by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in 1942.
