Note: An attractive die-struck badge, awarded to NWR employees during the inter-war years. Created in 1886 by merging many local lines, the NWR was one of British-India's largest railway systems, and played a strategic role as it carried military personnel and supplies to the NW Frontier of India. Post-1947, it was divided between India and Pakistan.
