Badges, British Indian Army, Set of 2 Badges, World War 1 period officers Cap badge of the 83rd Wallajahbad Light Infantry, Brass  & Indian Corps of Clerks Shoulder Title Badge, Bronze, two loops at the reverse to wear in both,7 to 9gms., VF-XF.

Note:  East India Company raised the 83rd Wallajahabad L. I in 1794 as the 33rd Madras Battalion. It took part in the battle for Seringapatam. During World War I, it served in the Persian Gulf and participated in the suppression of the Moplah Rebellion in 1921. It was disbanded in 1923. The Indian Corps of Clerks was formed in 1923 to provide clerical support for the army’s General Headquarters. The office was staffed by British officers and civilian Indian clerks.
