SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 8098t. Bbl. 4”. Unmarked Mauser rework (blank chamber & toggle) of original 1929 era DWM Mauser Military model, which was mfg. by Mauser from mostly existing DWM parts. 1933 Era rework having "Sneak" aspect of unmarked toggles & chamber. Prussian front strap marking "L.Sta.48." indicating Landgajerei (Prussian state police) Stade (Administrative district) & 48th firearm. Fitted w/ rework sear safety but no mag. safety. "GESICHERT" in upper safe position & extractor marked "GELADEN". Numbered parts done in commercial positions. Full matching number on bbl. along w/ German crown N & British crown BNP proofs. Matching numbered trigger, rear toggle, takedown lever & side plate. Extractor numbered "26". Balance of components not numbered including gas grooved firing pin. Right front of receiver has appropriate WaA66 proof; left side w/ crown N & crown BNP proofs (both proofs also on breech block). Checkered walnut grips; much darker left. MAGS: fair to good tin plated 8 rd. w/ aluminum base numbered “8098”plus “1”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: very good black flap holster w/ stud & strap retention. Between belt loops marked “OTTO SINDEL“ over “BERLIN” over “1933” over sunburst. Top of holster at rear is crossed out unit marking above lg. “1258”. CONDITION: good plus appearance w/ light high point wear & occasional light impact marks plus slight dent at left front of trigger guard. Gray faded straw colors for trigger & safety lever; others more vivid. Very good appearing toggle assembly & bbl. Beginning patina appearance on back strap & spot of finish loss at bottom of front strap. Good right grip w/ diamond top hand wear & light marks; left w/ marks & lg. chip at bottom front. Very good bore w/ extremely faint frosting in grooves. (20-3234/NW). CURIO. $1,500-2,000.
